Royal Caribbean hosts ‘world’s most extreme heavy metal’ cruise
22 MAY: Some 40 bands will pile aboard Royal Caribbean liner Majesty of the Seas in December for what’s being billed ‘The World’s Most Extreme Metal Cruise’.
Titled ‘Barge to Hell’, the four-night sailing into the Caribbean from Miami will feature 80 live shows for more than 2000 ‘headbangers’ (aka fans).
Organisers say there’ll be no set meal times and seating will be removed from the ship’s theatre.
“At a Metal show, who actually wants assigned seating in front of a stage”, a spokesman told media.
The cruise departs Miami on 3 December, with just one port of call, Nassau in the Bahamas.
